Last week, I posted the trailer for the Green Elk Rapids documentary and today I’m so excited to share the full eight-minute version with you. Green Elk Rapids is a weeklong event that aims to inspire and educate the citizens of Elk Rapids, Michigan on how to live a greer(er) lifestyle.  The event features art made out of trash, a guided group walk through local preserved land, educational events for all ages and more. Check out the documentary and see what this small village is doing to improve their community! Enjoy!

Thank you so much for checking it out, Melissa!! I’m going to hop on over to your blog now :) Hope to meet you at GreenER this year!!

Cal this is awesome!! Warm and authentic and very interesting. Plus, all that stop-motion log moving totally paid off. Elk Rapids looks like a great little community and I love how involved the school kids are with Green Elk Rapids. You and the husband did a great job telling their story.

Well done! More please! :)

Katherine, thank you so, so much!! I really appreciate that you took the time to watch it!! Elk Rapids is such an awesome little village and they are doing such cool things. If you ever make it back up to Traverse City it’s worth a little side trip. It’s right on the water and the little downtown is so cute (and there are a few delicious places to eat!). Hopefully we’ll get to make some more videos soon to share :)

Really exquisite video you have here. I love anything to do with bettering the environment. My husband and I are working to in a year from now, live completely off the grid and on our own alternative energies, water, and food. We have long an dreamed of it and are getting excited that it’s coming sooner. :)

Oh you are so welcome! I shared a post called The Hobbit Home I Dream Of and talked about it a bit there, but since we (as of now) decided to do an Earthship home that changes the plans a tad. Originally we were going to do an earth-sheltered/hobbit home powered on our own alternative energies. I plan to share more on our little journey as we go along, what we learn and once we buy land I definitely plan to share it.
